Career Development
At ITT Electronic Systems we promote a
continuous learning environment by following a
70/20/10 formula to learning.
We believe that 70 % of learning occurs
experientially - so we provide on the job
development opportunities that increase
knowledge, skills and abilities. As a result,
over 80% of our leadership positions are filled
internally.
We believe that 20% of learning is through
coaching and mentoring. ITT Electronic Systems
sponsors a Technical Knowledge Mentoring
Program to sustain and enhance the technical
knowledge of our employees.
Lastly, 10% of learning is obtained through
participating in Learning and Development
courses. We hold on-site training courses to
increase knowledge, skills and abilities through
Cornell University Faculty, Franklin-Covey,
Achieve Global Companies and Electronic Systems’
own subject matter experts.
In addition we have an e-learning system that
provides an opportunity for employees to access
courseware - 24/7. The e-learning system is rich
in courseware, covering areas such as Leadership
and Technical Engineering.
