Electronic
Systems’ combat-proven AN/ALQ-172 system
provides highly effective and reliable
protection to B-52 bombers and Special
Operations C-130 aircraft. In a number of
offensive strikes over the past decade, the
ALQ-172 has successfully defended the B-52 in
mission after mission.
The
ALQ-172(V)3 is the most recent, upgraded model
of this successful EW system with the addition
of modern components, new threat profiles and
the latest technology.

Air Force for the upgrade of AN/ALQ172(V)2
Electronic Countermeasures System to Electronic
Countermeasures Improvement configuration on
B-52H aircraft. This work will be complete by
December 2006.
