The
ALQ-136(V)2 radar jammer is an automatic,
power-managed system designed to provide
protection for attack helicopters and Special
Operations aircraft. The reliability and
effectiveness of the ALQ-136(V)1/5 was
demonstrated during Operation Desert Storm as
individual systems accumulated more than 300
hours of continuous operating time deployed on
AH-64 Apache and AH-1 Cobra attack helicopters.
